approx. 2000 years old Roman bottle in the shape of a head
These bottles were very popular throughout the Roman Empire.
They were used as perfume and ointment bottles.
Material:
red-brown glass with a strong iridescent patina,
Dating:
1st century AD to 4th century AD, Roman Empire,
Sizes:
100 mm high, 60 mm diameter,

In perfect condition, no damage, the case is completely intact and covered with a beautiful iridescent patina,
Description:
A small glass bottle, blown in a two-piece hollow mold.
The body of the bottle has the shape of three heads that converge at the back.
It is a representation of Medusa. By the 4th century AD, many variants with one, two and three heads of Medusa or Janus were produced.
The bottle has a flat bottom and a cylindrical long neck.
This bottle comes from the Eastern Mediterranean.
